VENUS COLLECTION
VENUS is born from the painting "The Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli, which depicts the goddess arriving in a shell at the
coast of Cyprus. This work marked the first female nude of a non-biblical figure in history, celebrating the beauty of the naked
female form, without shame or sin. The orange curls along the body are shown in the collection through strips sewn together,
leaving parts of the skin exposed. The shell comes to life through its shape in an oversized jacket and in textures achieved by
gathered fabric.
The collection's details pay homage to various aspects of the painting, from the background trees to the sleeves of Flora's dress
and Zephyr's knot. Using dead stock materials and textile manipulations, the pieces gain personality and authenticity, creating a
connection to the past while embracing sustainable practices and where each piece tells a story.
