Malteza is a Portuguese brand working for powerful feminine individuals, presenting versatile collections.

Our commercial line counts with several ready-to-wear pieces for the everyday life and beyond.

We also count with a conceptual line that allows us to show our skills in pattern-making, fabric manipulation, and exploring new shapes.

One of the problems in the fashion industry is waste. About 10% of fabric ends up being wasted right in the cutting of the patterns.

To avoid this waste, we try to make patterns that fit more easily with each other.

However, we are aware that even then there will always be waste and therefore a project was born that aims to combat waste to 0% in terms of fabric remains as well as threads.

The project uses all fabric and thread scraps to serve as beds for animals rescued in kennels. Our mission is by the end of 2024 to be able to deliver to one or more institutions enough beds for the animals.

Larger pieces are used to build the outer pads while small pieces and lines are shredded to make the filling.

In addition, our brand works essentially on demand, avoiding producing more than what the market is looking for.
